It was easy to get caught up in the story of Rayne and Con/Vel. It was a pleasure to journey thru Rayne’s life so far, anxiously awaiting book 2 — Amazon Reader.

The author spins a web of literary alchemy. The Antihero “Con” is blessed/cursed with great powers and has spent millennia making amends for the wrongs he has done. I followed the breadcrumbs created by Paul Johnston, never disappointed. Right from the beginning, a cast of characters some despised and some endeared, but don’t get attached to them all, some fall by the wayside as the author ruthlessly kills them off to advance the plot.
